The Trip

A taste of what's ahead.

Ancient ruins without the August mobs. Caldera sunsets with a glass of Assyrtiko in hand. The Aegean at its warmest, the crowds already gone home.

Early September is the savvy traveler's window in Greece — every restaurant, beach club, and sunset bar on Santorini is still open, the sea is at its warmest of the year, and the peak-season prices and crowds have dropped. Seven days, two icons: three nights in Athens steps from the Plaka, three nights on Santorini steps from the caldera path.

Built for travelers 40 and up who'd rather have one perfect glass of wine at sunset than three nightclubs. Limited to 16 travelers.

Fly into Athens International Airport (ATH).
